LITVERSE

City Rain

by Manav Lal

The sky lets down its silver hair,
brushing the neon roofs and streetlit air.
Cars leave long trails of crimson and of gold,
on wet asphalt where ancient tales are told.

Under umbrellas of black and dark blue,
we walk through streets where everything is new.
Wipers beat time to an unwritten song,
keeping us safe as we wander along.

So let the rain wash the dust of the day,
sweeping the cares of the city away.
In every drop that falls on the stone,
we find a rhythm that we call our own.
